David Benioff and DB Weiss' latest Game of Thrones series, 3 Body Issue, premieres on Netflix on March 21. The production is based on Liu Cixin's three-book novel series of the same name, and stars two former Game of Thrones heroes, John Bradley, who plays Samwell Tarly, and Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos the Sailor. .
In mid-May, Netflix announced that it had ordered new episodes of The 3-Body Issue, but did not reveal exactly how many episodes that meant or how many seasons the series would last. The creators have now announced that there will be two additional seasons of production. Thus, The Three-Body Problem will eventually have three seasons, thus tackling the entire trilogy of books.
