Index – Economy – Starting Monday, you can apply for home renovation subsidy at these bank branches

From July 1, that is, from next Monday, it will be possible to apply for home renovation subsidy in the Hungarian Development Bank's MFB Pont Plusz housing network. The final call for proposals for the program was published on June 17, which includes the final requirements for obtaining the grant.

Since the budget of 108 billion Hungarian forints can be used to renovate a total of 20,000 family homes built before 1991,

Applicants must be in a hurry to submit their loan application if they want to receive the maximum support of 6 million Hungarian forints per person.

Whether they can do this on July 1 or the following days will be crucial. MBH Bank, OTP Bank and Gránit Bank have won the right to operate the MFB Pont Plusz network, which offers discounted and interest-free loans for home renovations.

The banks pledged to open a total of 266 MFB Pont Plusz in 134 districts, the first 128 by May 30, and another 138 by June 30.

As of June 1, the addresses of only the first round of 128 bank branches were known, but now MFB Bank has published all 266 addresses where home renovation subsidy can be provided in the country as of Monday.

“We strongly advise those who want to apply for an interest-free loan and non-refundable support to check in advance where they can submit their applications in the list here, because there will likely be a lot of traffic at MFB Pont Pluszok on Monday and the following days. Since these are already working, according to the MFB statement, it may be useful to clarify the conditions and application process with the officials of the specific branch in advance, so that no problem is revealed next week, when applying for the maximum 7 million additional home renovation support to 1 million HUF for direct support, 2.5 to 3.5 million HUF and an interest-free loan of 2.5 to 3.5 million HUF)” recommended Bank360.hu expert.
