The first season of One Piece was a huge hit on Netflix. It seems that filming for the second season may begin soon.
06.27.2024 – In August 2023, the One Piece series based on the popular manga by Eiichiro Oda premiered on Netflix. Fans loved the work, and it quickly became one of the most successful series on the streaming platform. The creators were rightly taught a lesson, since One Piece had a huge, old fanbase behind it. Oda helped the project on many levels, which was certainly reflected in the final result. Not only were viewers familiar with the manga there to watch the series, but new fans were attracted as well.
The first season consisted of a total of 8 episodes, which Netflix uploaded to the site at the same time as usual. A large section of die-hard fans finished the parts in a day or two, so the only option left for them was to wait a long time. It was a great question, however, who would be added to the cast. In recent months, Netflix has been choosing from among the candidates, but in the last days of June, the veil was lifted on several characters and actors.
It has been revealed who will play Smoker in One Piece Season 2.

Netflix is keeping quiet about the release date of Season 2. Filming is rumored to begin sometime in the summer of 2024, with a release expected in the second half of 2025. One Piece fans will have to wait another year for the sequel, but hopefully it'll be worth it.
