Xbox could deliver RTX 4080-level performance with GeForce Now integration

Microsoft has abandoned its original plans for cloud streaming, and not every TV will be an Xbox, but this time it wants to turn consoles into high-performance PCs for gamers. According to the latest leaks, Microsoft and Nvidia are currently working on bringing GeForce Now to Xbox consoles, allowing users to experience games at the RTX 4080 level.

GeForce Now already offers better quality options than Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service. While Xbox Cloud Gaming works with Xbox Series X consoles, GeForce Now has options like GeForce Now Priority and GeForce Now Ultimate that give you access to more powerful RTX-based servers. GeForce Now Ultimate subscribers can play at up to 120fps and 4K resolution on supported devices, while Xbox Cloud Gaming is limited to lower resolutions and frame rates for now.

the eXtas1stv According to the leaker, GeForce Now integration is already being tested, so they could eventually include a “Play with GeForce Now” option for certain games. This would be similar to how the Xbox Store handles other subscription options (EA Play, Ubisoft Connect, Game Pass), so it would be next to the traditional “Buy” button in the store.

Microsoft and Nvidia haven't officially announced anything yet, but based on their previous collaboration, it's likely an old plan that will definitely become available to everyone in the foreseeable future, but currently it can only be found on the Japanese Xbox Store.
