Hideki Kamiya wants to make a sequel to one of the PlayStation 2 gems, Okami, and the old fox feels that Viewtiful Joe 3 has come at the right time.
Hideki Kamiya has directed legendary titles under the Capcom umbrella such as Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe or Okami. After leaving the company, they and several former employees founded the studio PlatinumGames, where another masterpiece in the form of Bayonetta came out of his hands, and the rest is history.

Kamiya feels he still has something to tell in a potential Okami sequel, and believes the story is far from complete, and fans should be given what they’ve been craving for for a long time. According to Viewtiful Joe, he’s stuck on the second part, and really wants to end the series. Whether Kamiya’s request fell on deaf ears within Capcom remains to be seen, but the fact that the Okami franchise had already sold 4 million copies by this time last year could be reason for confidence.
