Many players are waiting for the three, but now, no matter how hard we try to convince publishers, they remain unmoved…
All three of these games are scheduled to release sometime in the fall, and since Gamescom is in August, you’d think that attendees might get a playable demo here, but don’t count on it. Electronic Arts and Paradox Interactive (we’ll get to the latter later in today’s news) are also keeping Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 away from Gamescom. Konami is the third oddity: it’s staying mum on Silent Hill 2 Remake, though it’s not far off the mark either.
There is a twist in the story: Electronic Arts will be present at the event in Cologne, but only for one game. EA Sports FC 25 will be on display, and since football is important to the German public (in vain, it can also be said that the Bundesliga is regionally strong), this is somewhat understandable. Paradox is skipping Gamescom, as confirmed by WCCFTech via the publisher's PR department. Those who want to see a Western RPG will not be missing out: Absolution from Obsidian and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 from Warhorse will also be present at the event.
We're making great progress toward a fall launch date, and we can confirm that early. #dragon ageThe Veilguard is doing it all. @steam Features!

In the case of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, we have to add that if you buy BioWare's next game on Steam, you won't need the EA app, the studio confirmed on Twitter. It will be compatible with Steam, meaning that the Steam Deck will also support the game (due to Denuvo, this is still a bit tricky), so you won't need the EA app for the game. The EA app replaced Origin in 2022.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released sometime in the fall, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is coming in Q4 (October-December), and Silent Hill 2 Remake will launch on October 8.
