SpaceX's Starship Ready for Fifth Test Flight | Astronomy

At the beginning of June, the fourth test of the Starship spacecraft was successfully completed, the rocket and the Super Heavy launch vehicle returned successfully, however, the body of the spaceship was severely damaged, and they are now ready for the fifth test, and they are just waiting for official permission.




Starship, the largest and most powerful rocket ever built, consists of two fully reusable components: the launch vehicle and the upper stage spacecraft. During the fifth test, SpaceX will attempt to grab the Super Heavy launch vehicle with a robotic arm (the Mechazilla tower) so it can be used next time.

There is currently no exact information on when Starship's fifth test flight will take place, but it is expected to take place in September. SpaceX has big plans for the spacecraft, which it wants to use to take people to the moon and later to Mars.
