New features include: Speak with AI, Artificial Intelligence Summary and AI Writerwhich is currently only available on the Nord 4 and Nord CE4 Lite 5G models, mainly for owners of low-cost devices. This decision has caused some anger among owners of high-end OnePlus models such as the OnePlus 12.
the Speak with AI The feature reads information in browsers and news apps, allowing you to choose a male or female voice, set playback speed and sentence transitions. Artificial Intelligence Summary It automatically summarizes articles, which can then be easily shared or saved to Notes or the File Dock. AI Writer It helps you write different texts such as emails or social media posts.
These jobs are new. AI Toolkit It's available as part of the app, which is now integrated directly into the phone's sidebar, making it easy to access with a swipe of a finger. However, before you can use it, you'll need to enable screen recognition under Settings > Accessibility & Convenience.
OnePlus' new AI features currently only work on the Nord 4 and Nord CE4 Lite 5G, which are available in limited regions. The lack of innovation in the flagship models, especially the OnePlus 12, has left many fans disappointed, though it's likely the company is testing these features for now before rolling them out more widely.
