The subject matter of the animated series has yet to be revealed, but the paper’s sources reveal that fans can expect 3D animation, and its tone will be similar to the recent Ghostbusters films. Incidentally, this wouldn't be the first Ghostbusters animated series, as there have been two before: The Real Ghostbusters ran from 1986 to 1991, with a total of seven seasons and 140 episodes, while The New Adventures of Ghostbusters only had one season in 1997. But it was 40 episodes long.
