Video: Iskander missile strike destroys US HIMARS missile system

According to the high-definition video released by the Russian Defense Ministry, one of the HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) rocket launchers delivered by the United States to Kyiv was destroyed in the Sumy region of Ukraine, according to the video released by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Last week, thousands of troops moved from Sumy to Russia’s Kursk region to relieve pressure on the Donbas front and seize Russian territory as bargaining chips. Moscow responded with massive air and artillery strikes on the invaders.

Video released Thursday shows drone footage of several rockets being fired from an M142 HIMARS multiple rocket launcher from a road somewhere in the Sumy region. The unit then moves down the road into the woods to reload.

Within minutes, an Iskander ballistic missile crashed into the forest, destroying the Ukrainian rocket launcher. The video also shows secondary explosions of the HIMARS munitions.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the strike destroyed the Ukrainian artillery unit's launcher, a reloading capsule containing six missiles and two service vehicles.
