Recently, there were some rumors that one of the games that is currently only released for the Xbox Series and PC could make it to the PlayStation 5, but now there is an old rumor worth considering.
Yesterday, we already reported what a reliable insider, eXtas1s, had to say: according to him, the game from Playground Games (they are currently working on a Fable reboot as well as Forza Horizon 6), Forza Horizon 5 will come to PlayStation 5, but a leak occurred in January, which has since been completely accurate. Microsoft is said to be announcing the next steps of its multiplatform strategy in a short time, sometime at the end of September, and it has already revealed one of these steps with the announcement of DOOM: The Dark Ages, as the new chapter in the Doom saga. The out-of-control Slayer has already been announced for Xbox Series and PC, and in addition, the PlayStation 5 will get it too! (Some other Bethesda titles are also going multiplatform, with the exception of Starfield…)
According to the leaker’s Discord post, Microsoft Flight Simulator could also be cross-platform, and a handful of previous first-party, internally developed titles could also follow this path. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was also mentioned: oddly enough, Indy is modeled after Harrison Ford, but Troy Baker will still voice the character. The leaker added that most of the game (including the whip battles) will take place in an indoor setting. He also wrote about Hideo Kojima filming a movie.
Turns out everything from the leak was true (think Physint for Kojima’s film project: Sony announced a new game-movie partnership deal), except for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Is the port being made from the 2020 game or is the new episode coming on November 19? Probably the former. But which could hit Sony’s console first: Forza Horizon 5 or Microsoft Flight Simulator? We have no idea.
This is not official yet!
