A Hungarian national has been arrested in San Francisco on suspicion of illegally exporting 200 U.S. military radios to Russian government users in collusion with others, the U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., told reporters. office. The man was arrested on Aug. 23 when he arrived at San Francisco International Airport. The arrest and charges were announced Monday by U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves, along with Assistant Attorney General for Homeland Security and several special agents.
The man faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million for violating ECRA.
