The Slovak-Hungarian Scout Association will be held from September 6 to 8 this year. The National Meta Championship is organized in Ipolyság. This event is very popular every year, and this year more than 400 scouts took part. The 27th Szent Imre Scout Troop from Ipolyság has prepared many colorful accompanying programs for all age groups.
The event began on Friday with the flag raising in keeping with the Scout tradition, and then the collective assignments of the competing teams for the next day’s matches were drawn. The most important and exciting day of the Meta Championship was Saturday, because on this day the competing teams competed against each other on the Meta track. First, the group stage matches were held, and after a successive elimination stage, the best players managed to reach the finals. This year, the Bős team managed to win in both categories.
In the evening after the competitions, the organizers provided a café for those who wanted to relax, and participants could also learn more about driving training.
But what is Meta? Meta is a traditional Hungarian folk ball game that has long been played by children with different rules depending on the region. It requires a flat wooden bat, a ball and, of course, skilled players: accurate hitting to make the ball go far, strength to run, and speed and dexterity to return the ball. The Slovak-Hungarian Scout Association has organized the National Meta Championship almost every year since its re-establishment, and it has not lost its popularity since then.
Teams can enter the Super Championship again this year in two age categories: the Kölök category (10-14 years old) and the Suhanc category (15-19 years old).
The final result of the tournament was as follows:

1st place: No. 16 István Széchenyi Scout Team, Bős
