The first information about the upcoming gaming phone from Asus has been released.
Although the ROG Phone 9 is still undoubtedly a long way off, there are already plenty of rumors and leaks about the next iteration of Asus’ gamer mobile. It claims the phone will be powered by Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which is expected to power several flagship Android phones next year — including the Honor Magic 7, Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, and OnePlus 13 with this chip armed on store shelves.
It also turns out that the ROG Phone 9 could come with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage – among Asus devices, only the absolute top model, the ROG Phone 8 Pro, currently has these specs. As for the display, the leaker is talking about a significant improvement here as well, although the exact details are not yet known. The ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro were released with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate – we can primarily expect higher brightness and resolution on the new model.
