Blizzard may be working on a new StarCraft shooter

Blizzard, led by former Far Cry developer Dan Hay, is trying to turn the StarCraft series into a shooter for the third time, which hopefully won't be like the previous two.

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier spoke to IGN about his book, which will be released in October, during which interesting information has emerged, and according to him, behind the walls of Blizzard Entertainment, a shooting game StarCraft is being prepared, which is still early. Stages of development. This will not be Blizzard's first attempt in this direction, as it has tried twice before to transfer the famous strategy series to this genre, but unfortunately it failed both times.

In one part of his book, he mentions that A Blizzard's upcoming survival game has been shut down After Activision bought Blizzard King, most of the workers were laid off, but the handful of remaining developers under the supervision of Dan Hay kept the upcoming StarCraft shooter alive, which will hopefully make it past the current early stage and not suffer the fate of StarCraft: Stealth and Project Ares. Hay's presence calls for confidence, as the veteran Far Cry developer has previously dealt with more than one FPS and TPS game during his professional career.

The StarCraft series will always be one of Blizzard Entertainment's main attractions, and although they've only watched the action from the sidelines in recent years due to their other, larger games, it was just announced at the Tokyo Game Show that StarCraft and StarCraft II will be coming to Xbox in early November for the Game Pass offering, and hopefully this will give the budding shooter a little boost as well.
