The Exynos 1580 inside the Samsung Galaxy A56 has demonstrated its capabilities once again

Benchmark tests have already been conducted on the Exynos 1580 chipset, which It will take care of the operation of your Samsung Galaxy A56. The chipset has been tested again, and based on the results, you can expect a faster CPU and graphics controller based on the newer RDNA architecture.

It's the smartphone SM-A566B It appeared in the Geekbench database with the model number, which is the chip responsible for the operation S5E8855 Received a code. The Exynos 1580 has eight processor cores, the first of which is clocked at 2.91 GHz, then there are three more at 2.60 GHz, and four energy-efficient computing modules running at 1.95 GHz.

We don't know the exact type of cores, since Samsung changed things up a bit compared to the Exynos 1480, introducing four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, the first at 2.75 and the latter at 2.0 GHz.

The main core of the new chipset runs at a higher clock speed, resulting in higher single-core performance, and the main core and the three additional performance cores are easily of different types. The synthetic test also scored the graphics controller, which is codenamed “Angle,” but is undoubtedly the Xclipse 540.

Last year's chipset was introduced by the Xclipse 530, which was based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture. There is a high probability that the new generation GPU will have an RDNA 3 design. If only because this is also the case with the Xclipse 940 in the Exynos 2400.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 prototype tested has 8 GB of RAM, but this does not mean that there are no other variants of operational memory, as the current model, Galaxy A55, is also available with 6, 8 or even 12 GB of RAM. Random.

Even more interesting is the fact that the phone tested was already running Android 15, while the recently announced Galaxy S24 FE ran Android 14, and had an Exynos 2400e chipset installed under its shell.

As we are accustomed to saying in the case of such and similar preliminary benchmark results, it is not really worth taking them seriously, since the chipset already produces better results than previous synthetic tests.

There's still plenty of time until the Samsung Galaxy A56 is introduced, as it's expected to be unveiled sometime in mid-March. Until then, there will be a lot of work to be done in terms of hardware and software capabilities.
