After just two seasons, Netflix decided to cancel it.
That '90s Show, the sequel to the popular That '70s Show, has been canceled after two seasons on Netflix, Kurtwood Smith announced on Instagram. Smith, who plays the character Red Foreman, said that while many people were waiting for season three, Netflix decided not to continue the series.
Smith thanked fans for their support and love for the series. He added that the series was “full of heart” with amazing actors, writers, directors and crew members who were a pleasure to work with.
The actor said that although Netflix is not continuing, the team is trying to sell the series to other platforms, hoping to be “good grandparents” to “graduate” the character of Leah Foreman and her friends.
This '90s show brought the Foreman family and their friends back to life with the return of That '70s Show stars Debra Jo Robb, Laura Prepon, Topher Grace, Ashton Kutcher, Wilmer Valderrama, and Mila Kunis. The series revolves around Leah Forman, the daughter of Eric and Donna, who spends the summer with her grandparents. The first season began in 2023, while the second season ended in August 2024.
