The United Nations said that Israel carried out the most serious attack in Gaza in months

Tor Wennesland, UN Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, expressed concern about the deteriorating situation. “This comes after weeks of intense military operations that resulted in the deaths of many civilians and an almost complete lack of humanitarian aid reaching the people of the north,” the peace envoy said.

The Israeli army has intensified its attacks in northern Gaza since early October. According to their claim, the aim of the operation is to prevent the redeployment of Hamas fighters. The army said it was investigating reports related to the Beit Lahia incident.

According to the Gaza Strip's Ministry of Health, 87 people were killed or disappeared under the rubble in Saturday's attack. These data significantly increase the number of victims of the past period.

Health authorities in Gaza reported that the raids had claimed the lives of hundreds of people since the escalation of the Israeli campaign. The humanitarian situation remains critical, especially in the northern part of the region, where aid delivery is extremely difficult.

The United Nations and other international organizations have repeatedly called for an cessation of fighting and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Resolving the conflict remains an urgent task for the international community.
