In such circumstances, many people assumed that the Ukrainian armed forces would order the surrender of the settlement and retreat to a more defensible line.
Recent footage shows Russian forces successfully advancing into the western industrial area of Korahivka. Cut the final retreat route in half. On the other hand, the Ukrainians did not evacuate the settlement, as evidenced by geographical photographs taken in the interior of the settlement.
Update about Kurashevka-Kurakhov. Russian forces have captured Hernik – after premature information – and are now geographically concentrated in the industrial area west of Kurashevka. 1\ Donetsk Front: The Russians entered Kuracheva and captured mine buildings, and also advanced to the city where they were captured. The lines in this sector have been untenable since the fall of Hrnek 3 days ago, and it is not clear why they did not retreat #Ukraine

If Russian forces continue to advance at this rate.
Within a few days the shears may close and completely encircle Korahevka.
It is not known how many Ukrainian soldiers and equipment will be stuck in the hole.
