The FŐTÁV requires housing units to be represented to indicate their need for where heating will be needed after April 15, writes MTI.
The announcement states that about 240,000 residential area heating users and more than 7,000 commercial and institutional area heating users using FŐTÁV services will stop heating the specified building according to the dates stipulated in the operating agreement with their users from April 15.
There are currently more than 430 buildings in Budapest where the central heating service must be closed accordingly.
However, a heating connection other than the heating shutdown times specified in the operating agreement may be required on a case-by-case basis if the weather requires it, such as for sudden cooling.
To date, more than 100 building representatives have requested on a case-by-case basis that the company not be allowed to turn off heating due to cold weather, they write.
They stress that, in light of the current cold weather, FŐTÁV is requesting the joint agencies that wish to amend their previous decision to stop heating while providing a case-by-case requirement to notify FŐTÁV.
The assigned referee should be sent to the district heating provider as they know it.
They added that the various heating occasional start-up or shutdown operations are only free once between April 15 and May 15.
The company also recommends automatic heating control, as the control electronics regulate the heating continuously and automatically according to the change in the external temperature, that is, the heating service starts and stops when necessary, without the need for a special accidental switch
