Although the major manufacturers are still lagging behind in promotions to the new flagship version of Android, Google is not slowing down, and this year, the world’s most popular mobile operating system will catch up.
Google is now slowly approaching the end of its developer previews, and it may soon begin a more comprehensive beta test of Android 12, but there are still months until its final release. However, as usual, we already know some important innovations that indicate that the operating system is not going to make a revolutionary change this year either, although this is not really necessary, as it has become very advanced and fast in recent years.
However, there is always room for improvement in the user experience, and Google knows that. You also have to think about little things like launching an app, which is especially fast on lower-middle-class phones these days, because they finally have a sufficiently powerful processor and enough memory.
However, it doesn’t matter which animation the apps start with.
Google wants to improve it in Android 12 and give developers more options, such as changing the app’s icon on startup and animations designed specifically for the specific program.
It appears to be a long-awaited convenient innovation, since clicking on web links appearing in different applications will no longer ask you which app you want to open, but it will automatically use your default web browser (like Chrome). With this less unnecessary gesture.
No doubt, Android phones are at a disadvantage compared to iPhones at the moment in terms of vibration (haptic) feedback, but Google promises to chase here as well.
Android 12 will now allow app developers to create unique vibrations for various events and touches within apps. It is time for this innovation, as most modern phones have very complex and multi-tasking vibration motors that can be used in this way.
But on the other hand, Google also searched Apple’s notebook. Although it does not work in the current developer version yet, at the system level, Android 12 already has the ability to double-tap the back of the phone to do some actions, such as taking a screenshot. Of course, in the final system, you will be able to set exactly what happens after a double click.
If you like to use your phone at night, in the dark, then you will definitely enjoy the option of Ultra low brightness setting.
It’s not worth confusing this with the dark mode or the night mode, but specifically Android 12 will allow you to reduce the brightness of your device more than ever before, theoretically even on phones that were not able to reach below a certain level before.
Google is also moving into the basics of camera management, and Android 12 includes support for modern high-resolution sensors from the ground up, things like HDR, evening photos, or the background blur effect. This means that some basic things do not have to be dealt with separately by the manufacturers, and it is also important that the manufacturers’ camera applications work that way better and faster.
Additionally, of course, we can expect slight changes to the look and feel of the system, but since most manufacturers pull their own interface to Android anyway, it remains doubtful how much an actual user will actually experience it.
