She is the most economical woman in South Korea.
A 25-year-old South Korean woman is trying to save as much money as possible from her salary. A few years ago, Ji Hyun Kwak appeared in the media with the fact that he managed to save about 27 million Hungarian forints in 4 years. Now he's blown up the internet again, even more so with the announcement that he can save the same amount, but in half the time. He took his money-saving techniques to the extreme, but, he says, it was surprisingly easier to save that amount in 2 years than it was in 4 years.
Kwak now has a serious following, with 20,000 fans on YouTube alone, but no matter how much money he makes on social media, it doesn't go into his savings account – he only counts what he saves from his monthly salary.
According to him, he often spends only about 2,000 Hungarian forints a month on food, looks for discounts and coupons, does not buy bottled water, drinks tap water instead, and cuts his own hair.
The 25-year-old regularly shares more saving tips and techniques on her blog, as well as posting her monthly expenses, proving her right. In January, for example, only 130,000 Hungarian forints were spent, which included the costs of meals, transportation and insurance.
