A character from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is also joining Guilty Gear: Strive

Arc System Works has revealed the content for the fourth season of Guilty Gear: Strive. Four new characters are being added to the wrestling game, including Lucy, one of Night City's most talented gridiron racers.

Fighting game news and announcements have been on the decline lately, and that’s no coincidence, as the big summer tournament for EVO 2024 took place this weekend. Almost all the greats of the genre represented themselves at the competition, and when they were there, they also made some big announcements. The creators of Guilty Gear: Strive, who revealed the content for Season 4, were no exception.

We learned that the six-person “Team of 3” mode will enter beta at the end of the month, and we can expect new levels in the near future, but what’s even more exciting is that the game will be expanded with four new characters next year. The returning characters will be Queen Ditty and Venom in October and early 2025, respectively, followed by Unika, a brand-new hero, sometime next spring. The fourth character, also coming next year, will be none other than Lucy, who Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans may already know well.

So far, unfortunately, we haven't discovered what abilities the tragically doomed web runner will come with, and we've only been able to catch him for a preview image. There's a good chance we'll have to wait nearly a year for him to arrive, so we're sure to see plenty of teasers before he arrives.
