Christmas is approaching this year, and Netflix is also gearing up to be full on content so people have something to watch during the holiday season, too. The animated film could be Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, an animated film based on the novel by Charles Dickens, The Story of A Christmas Carol, for which the first trailer has been released.
Produced by Timeless Films and Axis Studios and directed by Stephen Donnelly (The Wizarding World of Oz), the timeless legend of Dickens is reborn in this supernatural, time-traveling musical adaptation of one of the most famous Christmas stories. On a cold Christmas Eve, the selfish and miserly Ebenezer Scrooge has only one night left to confront his past – and change the future – before his time runs out.
In the movie, the characters are voiced by big names like Academy Award winner Olivia Colman (The Crown, lost girl), Academy Award nominees Jesse Buckley (Fargo, The Lost Girl), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Jonathan Pryce (Popes), Johnny Flynn (Emma), Fra Fee (hook), Giles Terreira (Hamilton), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Aladdin: Live from the West End) and James Cosmo (The Fairless, Troy).
Scrooge: A Christmas Carol arrives on Netflix December 2nd.
