It was announced back in 2017 Astronauts A studio to develop a new adventure game with a somewhat dark atmosphere. The team is made up of veterans who previously worked on the Painkiller, Bulletstorm, or The Vanishing of Ethan Carter games. Thanks back to this encryptswhich combines the infernal atmosphere of Painkiller with the fast-paced gameplay of Bulletstorm, and it looks pretty good.
The game was also present at Summer Game Fest, where it appeared in a bunny-tail-sized trailer. In the barely a minute-long video, we still get a lot of action in our faces, sometimes with magic, sometimes with guns, our future self tearing apart what appears to be an otherworldly demon. The whole thing still screams the same style Painkiller did at the time.
More importantly, at the end of the trailer, the game’s release date is revealed. More precisely, the premiere of the early version of Witchfire was revealed, according to which it will take place on September 20th. It will then be available on PC in the Epic Game Store.
