A man from Houston who disappeared as a teenager eight years ago while walking with his dog in a Texas city was found alive, but due to his health condition it was not revealed where and what he spent the past years. The Guardian wrote on Tuesday.
According to Houston Police, the man named Rudolph Farias was found by the police and fire department on Thursday evening after receiving a report of an unconscious person lying on the ground outside a church in Houston. The 25-year-old was taken to the hospital, but his condition did not allow him to be interrogated and his whereabouts known so far.
According to Farias’ mother, her son is currently unable to communicate.
Farias was 17 years old when she was reported missing on March 6, 2015, after walking her two dogs near the family’s home in Northeast Houston. Houston police and a civilian search and rescue team searched for him but were unable to find him. The dogs were later found.
According to the rescuers’ report at the time, Farias was suffering from depression and anxiety, and at the time of his disappearance may have been confused because he was not taking his medication. He also developed asthma and a slight limp in his right leg.
According to the police, the Farias family reported in September 2018 that they thought they had seen the boy behind a relative’s house, but that the police who arrived at the scene did not find him there, and He was listed as a missing person as of Thursday’s reappearance.
