System Shock was one of the predecessors of immersive simulators, without which BioShock might not have been made, which drew so much from the classic. Fortunately, the reworking of the game’s fate Vomit is already straightforward, as its creators, and representatives of Nightdive Studios, have announced that the treatment will be available for pre-order soon.

The new System Shock version will now be available for pre-order on PC, Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store at the end of February – the previous two versions have been available as a beta for some time. By the way, demo: the final version of this will be ready by the end of February. In this, we can finally admire the new edition in all its splendor at the medical and space levels, with new features, improved mechanics and physics, as well as new sounds and dialogues. Of course, the work will not stop after that, the system shock grinding will continue.
This all applies to the PC platform, but Nightdive has also not forgotten about the console versions – they’ll comment on it and on their upcoming demo later.
And that’s not the end of the good news, as the developers announced that anyone who pre-orders System Shock at the end of February will receive a revamped copy of the classic Part Two that was announced two years ago for free! Of course, System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition is also an individual right for those who have supported the remake project with at least $ 30 in community funding. Incidentally, the remastered version of Part 2 mostly differs externally from the original, but Nightdive, with permission from SS community members, incorporates several popular modes into the enhanced version. Additionally, a standalone VR version of System Shock 2 is being developed, but no more information has been shared yet.
