In December 2021, a youth initiative was launched in Csaba with the participation of a few people, which now holds weekly club sessions for high school youth and young adults.
Norbert SzazThe club president says that 3 years ago he felt a very strong inner desire to do something for the young people around him. Since he studied – and is currently studying – at Trevort as an undergraduate, he has been working with his flatmates.
The message I wanted to deliver, which stems from my Christian faith, is the Gospel. That there is a loving, caring God who won't leave us alone with our problems, and he is called Jesus. In the first round, we organized a joint bowling match – Norby remembers the beginning. Then came the organized events, from time to time regularly, primarily at the Chapajeong Cultural Center.
Later, the small but violent group gathered at the Baptist Church on October 6th Street, adding a special flavor to the atmosphere by the fact that 5 minutes before the start, the Trefortos kolis had traveled the last few meters of the noisy braking bus. Together, the number of members of the target group has increased and they currently meet at the headquarters of the Békéscsabai Keresztyén Ifjúsági Egyesület (KIE) association on Kénezi Street every Thursday, from 6 p.m.
– Many people support us, but we do not have a specific church background, as our initiative did not start from such an environment. At our events, in addition to popular and community Nazi games, we sing songs praising God and there is always a current biblical message for the age group.
