This season, therapeutic llamas will patrol Portland Airport in the United States to relieve the stress of people boarding planes due to the holidays, the newspaper writes. Washington Post.
Airports around the world are trying different ways to create a little calm during one of the busiest travel times of the year. They decorate their halls with holiday lights, throw concerts, and even hire therapy dogs. Portland is trying to do all of the above, and in keeping with the spirit of the city, local beauties are invited to the airport to entertain passengers.
The therapy lamas – Benny and Prince – try to calm passengers in their own way during three visits to the airport. “You can give them a big hug,” Lori Gregory said of her llamas, which she says are very special compared to other therapy animals.
Both Penn and Prince had to pass through security screening, but failed to ride the bike. During their performance, the llamas were accompanied by several caregivers who encouraged viewers to hug them, rub their noses, and take a selfie with them. According to their owners, llamas are often misunderstood. Well-behaved animals from South America, contrary to popular videos about them, usually do not spit, do not jump on people, and do not bite. In fact they only have teeth at the bottom of their mouths.
