North Korea also sent a phone message to the US military stationed in South Korea to prevent false conclusions and conflict along the demarcation line.
According to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), the North Korean military was suspected of planning bombings along the Gyeonggi and Donghae roads. Colonel Lee Sung-joon, spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said at a news conference that the military had spotted North Korean monitors being installed along roads, which could indicate preparations for bombings. The spokesman added that South Korea is monitoring operations north of the demarcation line and is preparing for possible actions with security measures.

North Korea says the drones were allegedly sent by South Korea to distribute anti-North Korea leaflets over Pyongyang. North Korea described this action as a provocation that could lead to a military conflict.
The South Korean military did not respond to North Korea's accusations, and said that if it dealt with Pyongyang's claims, the North would find an excuse for provocation. Lee Sung Joon on Monday did not answer a question about whether South Korean soldiers or civilians had sent the drones toward Pyongyang.
Incidentally, South Korea has been trying to strengthen its defenses against drones since 2022. According to Reuters, five North Korean drones entered South Korean airspace and flew over Seoul for several hours.
North Korea's Defense Ministry said Sunday that drones flying over Pyongyang cannot be flown by civilians because a special runway is needed to launch them. North Korea also announced on the same day that it had deployed eight armed artillery units on the border.
