According to the United States, an Iranian attack on Israel can be expected this week

The White House National Security Communications Advisor said on Monday that according to the US assessment, an attack on Israel by Iran and its affiliated armed organizations can be expected this week, adding that their assessment coincides with Israel's expectations.

In a press conference with reporters, John Kirby expressed concern about the potential for escalation, while at the same time affirming US support for Israel's defense, and also stated that intense diplomatic negotiations for “de-escalation” had taken place in recent days.

This was stated by a White House official

Negotiations on a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement are scheduled to be held Thursday in Doha, and the delegation of the armed Palestinian movement is also expected to attend.

In response to the suggestion that Hamas representatives, according to Monday's announcement, would not be present at the ceasefire talks, John Kirby stated that “according to our belief, Hamas will be present.”

John Kirby admitted that if Iran attacked Israel in some way before Thursday, that could also affect ceasefire efforts.

The National Security Communications Advisor did not directly and officially confirm the press report that Iran had hacked the presidential campaign of Republican candidate Donald Trump, but he recalled a previous American intelligence report that stated that Iran was trying to influence the American elections by targeting democratic parties in the campaign.
