Owners and managers of 19 stores have submitted their applications for the Advent Window competition announced for the third time this year. Just like last year, Gamesz delivered Pine Trees to those who requested them.
The storefronts – as well as their beautiful ceremonial decorations – are often quite striking, and in some places commendably imaginative and imaginative. Again this year, many people decorated their storefronts and pine trees with materials suitable for their activities.
This time, a three-member professional jury (Zsanett Kőszegi, Bernadett Tanai and Krisztina Háromi-Horváth) evaluated the shop windows visited. Each store tried to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the location and the environment, and as a result, high-quality and atmospheric decors were born. Diversity is also noted this year: from the classic Christmas colors (red, white, gold and green) to a more natural style. Christmas symbols have been popping up in every store, and the most creative of them made decorations that cut the profile of the store this year, too.
Again, the jury’s decision was preceded by a serious dilemma which was greatly influenced by the highly imaginative designs they had made with their own hands.
The jury unanimously chose the two stores that appeared among the participants and thus, like last year, again awarded the joint first place.
The results are:
1st place: Artisan Shop (Petőfi u. 6) and Napsugár Gyógyszertár (Rákóczi u. 6))
Second place: Tekla Paint Shop (Széchenyi u. 1.)
Third place: MarcLali Játékkuckó (Piac u. 2.)
It was really difficult to choose our catwalk showcases among the most beautiful and creative designs, so we also announce the public vote, where we are looking for the store you would like to see among the award winners as well as the winners.
You can vote on the Marcali Cultural Center’s Facebook page by liking the photos uploaded in the 2022 Advent Window Showcase Contest album until December 20, 2022 at 12 noon. The store with the most likes will win the Audience Award.
Prizes will be presented after the public vote is over.
