Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 voice actor dropped some interesting comments during the podcast.
In an interview with the Monsters, Madness & Magic podcast, Matthew Puretta, the voice actor for Alan Wake 2, said the game’s release is expected sometime in October 2023. He added that he traveled to Remedy’s offices in Finland last week to work on the game.
He didn’t have much to share about the game itself. He said the upcoming Superstars match would be “really good”. He added that it would be a challenging and scary game and that Remedy Entertainment is doing “amazing things”.
If Porretta’s words are true, that means Remedy’s release date announcement will happen soon. It’s supposed to be at a PlayStation event or Xbox Showcase.
We’ve previously reported that development of Alan Wake 2 is progressing well and that the game promises to be a “true” next-gen offering.
Nick Chitkal, co-founder of XboxEra and co-host of the XboxEra Podcast, took to Twitter to say he’d heard Alan Wake 2 is in development. It also said it would offer a “real” next-gen experience. It also suggested that publisher Epic Games had seriously invested in an Alan Wake sequel.
Nick didn’t reveal much. But his information is consistent with what Puretta said about the game’s release. Also with what we could already know about the game. Remedy Entertainment creative director Sam Lake and game director Kyle Rowley also spoke about the game. It was previously revealed that Alan Wake 2 will be the studio’s biggest and most ambitious game to date. Also, the game will provide a real survival horror experience.
If you’re interested in exactly what Puretta had to say, you can find the podcast at the link below. The voice actor’s comment about the appearance can be heard at around the eighteenth minute.
