Johnny Depp was filming Pirates of the Caribbean 5 in Australia when his wife visited him at the time with two Yorkshire Terriers. He did not officially announce the animals upon his arrival, violating Australia’s strict quarantine laws – Metropol writes.
It dropped dog groomer Amber Heard, who photographed celebrities at the beauty salon with her dogs, who did not complete the 10-day quarantine.
Proceedings against him began and ended in April 2016. He was fined 10,000 Australian dollars (2.7 million forints) for falsifying immigration documents.
The star couple said through their attorney at the time that the dogs were not intentionally declared, but it may now be revealed that he committed perjury. The lawsuit was resumed because it was revealed that Kevin Murphy, Johnny Depp’s former real estate agent, warned Amber Heard that Australia had strict rules for importing animals. The ex-wife even threatened the man with expulsion.
Amber Heard is suspected of giving false testimony, so the trial against her will be resumed, and she could receive up to 14 years.
