America has instructed family members of diplomats to leave Ukraine

The US government has called on the relatives of diplomats in Ukraine to leave the country due to tensions in the region, BBC.

The US State Department has also asked US citizens in Ukraine to consider leaving the country.

In their statement, they justify this by saying that Russia is planning a major military intervention in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Russians constantly deny that they are preparing to occupy the Ukrainians.

A foreign US official told AFP that the Ukrainian embassy would remain open for now, but that the Russian occupation could begin at any moment.

It has been reported that the government will not be able to evacuate all US citizens at this event, as a precaution, everyone is being asked to leave.

The BBC also wrote that in the past 24 hours there were no developments in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict that would have justified this move.

NATO estimates that approximately one hundred thousand Russian soldiers have already gathered on the Ukrainian border.
