According to Nuland, Russia has amassed a total of 100 “tactical groups” and “almost all of its ground forces west of the Urals” at various points on the Ukrainian border.

According to Nuland, Russia is also preparing to attack from Belarus, with some of its soldiers disguised as Belarusian soldiers.
“President Lukashenko’s growing dependence on Putin is likely to call for a comeback,” Nuland said.
About a week ago, President Lukashenko recognized Crimea as part of Russia.
Nuland also said that if Putin launched an attack, the United States and its allies “would provide a response unlike the response to the invasion of Crimea.”
According to Nuland, this reaction could include taking “high-impact economic measures” of which America has been “wary” in the past.
