America may return to the moon this month

The probe called Odysseus – or Odi for short – has been successfully launched, with which the United States will return to the Moon more than 50 years later.

The United States did not mess around long after Peregrine failed to send it to the moon. The probe, which failed on the way, was launched by the private American company Astrobotic Technology on January 8, and the purpose of the mission was to land on the moon, but less than 24 hours after the launch, they announced that they would abandon the landing attempt after a large amount of fuel leaked, but they lost.

The lander called Odysseus was also created as a result of a collaboration between NASA and a private company called Intuitive Machines, and if all goes according to plan, the probe could land on the Moon as early as next week. The launch was scheduled for Wednesday, but after problems arose with the methane gas required for the SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle, the spacecraft was not able to lift off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida until Thursday morning, Galactic time. Audi is expected to spend a week in space before attempting to land on the moon on February 22. The probe will land near the southern corner of the celestial body, which has long intrigued researchers because water ice is supposed to exist beneath the surface of the craters. If this happens, Intuitive Machines will be the first private company to successfully land in space since the American Apollo program.
