The researcher stressed that the office's first mission is to return the largest possible number of international scientists to Hungary. He expressed his hope that Professor Gergely Endrodi would be only the first in the line of returning scholars.
Gergely Indrodi, who returned home from Germany and transferred his research to the Faculty of Natural Sciences at ELTE, said he looked forward to continuing his work at his university with the help of the government and the Nobel Prize-winning office.
– Every Golden Team needs a manager, and I will try to fill this role – Imre Katskovic, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences at ELTE, explained his mission. He pointed out: In recent years, it was necessary to move the stagnant waters in universities, and begin transformation and development in higher education. From this standpoint, the college has developed an action plan, through which education will be further developed in the coming years.
– In order to be a good university, we have to provide everything from the teaching and student aspects. We have raised the bar, and as a result, more students and better teachers are coming to our faculty – Katskovic stated, then added: They have worked for a long time to bring back as many high-quality teachers as possible.
Gergő Endrődi does not return to his home in the wilderness, but to a team where they understand him, know what he does, and know his work. All universities must work to ensure that they have the right gray matter to welcome scientists currently doing research abroad.
– The dean confirmed.
