AMD's Fluid Motion Frames technology has become available on the company's portable console as well.
Although it was recently reported that the next-generation version of the ASUS ROG Ally portable console, which was launched in the spring of 2023, may be launched this year, not much is known about it yet, so the company continues to actively support AMD Ryzen. 1 The Ryzen 1 Extreme SoC is your mobile device.
The latest ROG Ally software update has enabled an important feature on the console: AMD's Fluid Motion Frames technology has become available. One of the biggest advantages of this is that compared to Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 solutions, it can be easily enabled in the AMD driver, and what's more, it does not require special gaming support.
For the ROG Ally, AMD Fluid Motion Frames are particularly useful because the device's 120Hz display – due to its performance limitations – can't be used for all games. Of course, to achieve the best results, it is essential that the specific game runs properly – AMD recommends experiencing 60 FPS or more With fluid motion frames.
By the way, ASUS ROG Ally also supports AMD's FSR 3 technology, but game developers have to integrate it into their games separately, so the possibility of using it is more limited. However, ASUS recommends that if the specific game supports FSR 3, we prefer to use it instead of AMD Fluid Motion Frames.
If everything is correct, the update that enables the function has arrived in the last few days, but Fluid Motion Frames are not yet integrated into the Command Center, so they can currently be enabled via the AMD driver.
