Compared to the ROG Phone 5, there will be a clear progression in terms of display.
Asus has confirmed that the latest version of its mobile gaming family, ROG Phone 6, will arrive on July 5, and some important details have been revealed in the meantime.
It’s no secret that with a phone primarily used for gaming, it matters not only which device is behind the back cover, but also what kind of display we can stare at to watch the action. Fortunately, Asus does not spare in this area either.
The company launched a marketing campaign for the ROG Phone 6 as part of it sharing with us that the new phone will reveal the good stuff with its 165Hz AMOLED display so that we can enjoy our favorite games on the go in a great way. Asus’ previous high-end mobile phone, ROG Phone 5s Pro, also had this type of panel anyway, but the refresh rate was “only” 144Hz.
You read that right!
165 Hz. AMOLED. thus.

We’ll likely learn more about the ROG Phone 6 in the coming weeks, but Asus’s novelty with its screen will certainly stand up to the Nuba alternatives.
