ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today revealed the all-new console ROG Flow X16.0 . Technology player laptop. This slim and light 16-inch laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 Ti GPU, supporting the XG Mobile family of external GPUs, all packed into a 15-inch case that weighs just 2.1 kg . The Flow X16 also features a Nebula HDR main display, a QHD/165Hz Mini LED panel with 1,100 nits peak brightness, 512 local dimming areas, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. These premium components are complemented by an all-new cooling system with Frost Force Technology, a three-fan Pulsar heatsink and a high-density heatsink to keep performance high and temperatures low.
As a member of the Flow family, portability and versatility played a major role in the design of the Flow X16. With a full 360-degree hinge, gamers can convert the device from a traditional clamshell laptop to tent mode, maximizing airflow when using an external keyboard or gamepad. Alternatively, the screen can be folded back into full tablet mode to take advantage of touch features. No matter where, how or what they play, the Flow X16 can transform to suit their needs.
In addition, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today revealed the all-new 2022 device ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition player laptop. This enhanced Strix SCAR incorporates the latest hardware and the latest cooling solutions to deliver a class-leading gaming experience. The unique vapor chamber cooling system, Conductonaut Extreme, along with liquid metal in both the CPU and GPU, allows the SCAR 17 SE to increase hardware performance. The SCAR 17 SE also gets a distinct cyberpunk look with unique invisible ink applied directly to the metal case.
Using high-performance components is only half the equation, as these high-end components require high-performance cooling to achieve peak performance. ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE contains all the innovations of ROG intelligent cooling so that the device can take full advantage of its potential. ROG has been using Thermal Grizzly liquid metal blend in many laptops over the past three years, lowering CPU temperatures by up to 10°C compared to traditional thermal pastes. This year, the ROG engineering team once again partnered with Thermal Grizzly to develop a more powerful liquid metal formula called Conductonaut Extreme, which the SCAR 17 SE uses on both its CPU and GPU. Delivering a temperature approximately 5°C lower than the standard liquid metal thermoplastic blend 1, the product was the first step in exploiting the true performance potential of the SCAR 17 SE.
Updates will arrive in Hungary this summer.
