The 16-year-old, a 2-year-old US national champion, junior and senior world champion bronze figure skater, has announced his retirement. Alyssa Liu.
“Honestly, I never would have thought that I would achieve this much. I am very satisfied and happy with the way my career has developed. Now that I have achieved my goals as an athlete, I will continue with my life.

– He said.
“I started skateboarding when I was 5, so I spent about 11 years on the ice, and that was crazy for 11 years. I made a lot of friends and found fond memories that will remain for the rest of my life.”
Leo won his first league title in 2019 at the age of 13, which he repeated a year later. However, he was too young to compete internationally among adults, having only had the opportunity to do so this year, when he won a bronze medal at the Montpellier World Championships and finished seventh at the Beijing Olympics.
The events of the past six months may have played a role in his withdrawal. The athlete’s father had fled China to the United States in 1990, but the FBI said Asian intelligence had been spying on him.
