– Thanks to its stable operation, Balassagyarmat has a unified tax system. At the Economic Forum, Laszlo Gyorgy, Government Commissioner for Economic Strategy, gave a presentation on the changes taking place in the world, detailing their impact on Hungarian companies, global challenges, prospects and strategic priority sectors.

– The Government Commissioner said – The events taking place in the world may not directly affect the region, but they have a significant impact on the quality of life and on the opportunities through which economic actors can connect to technological breakthroughs.

In his presentation, he talked about trade routes, global trade and the impacts of energy prices, as well as the fact that Hungary could become a major power in green energy storage.

Finally, he also mentioned that according to Macronom Institute forecasts, economic growth this year may be close to 3 percent, and next year's expansion may return to more than 4 percent.

After the presentations, the heads of the 20 companies in Balasagalyam that paid the largest business tax of the city were presented with a certificate of appreciation. Among others, textile production, cable production and distribution, construction, confectionery, forestry, wholesale and food retail trade are also recognized.
