Belarus is starting consultations with its allies and international organizations over Ukrainian drones violating its airspace, the Foreign Ministry in Minsk said Saturday.
According to the announcement, given the seriousness and global risks of the situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus will immediately provide detailed information about the incident to the relevant structures of the UN and the OSCE, as well as to international organizations of which it is a member.
According to the Minsk Foreign Ministry, what happened is considered a “very serious incident” that cannot remain without a “necessary and fundamental” assessment.
The ministry describes the flights of Ukrainian drones in Belarusian airspace as an attempt to spread the conflict to the entire region. They wrote that they want to drag Belarus into the conflict as well, which consistently supports resolving the crisis and stopping the bloodshed.
“We address the neighboring European peoples: in the wake of the escalation of the conflict, the fire will spread to the entire region, including the EU countries. There will be no winners! Cool down the will of your politicians to fight!” – warned the Foreign Ministry in Minsk.
