It's been less than a month since the world premiere of the new generation Bentley Continental GT, and here is already the new news about the next innovation of the luxury brand belonging to the Volkwagen Group: the next generation Flying Spur will get the same specifications and the same hybrid powertrain that will drive the top version of the Continental GT Speed.
It consists of a 4.0 V8 turbo engine and an electric motor linked to it. The system output is 782 hp, and the maximum torque is 1000 Nm. The electric range of the car exceeds 72 km.
the Outgoing W12 Flying Spur It had 635bhp and 900Nm, so that’s a big step forward. Even more so if you look at the previous Flying Spur Hybrid: the 2.9-litre V8 petrol engine produced 416bhp, and the combined system output with the electric motor was 544bhp.
No other information is available yet, so we don't know exactly when the new Flying Spur will arrive.
Bentley created the Flying Spur in 2005, an entry-level sedan based on the technical underpinnings of the two-door Continental GT coupe, which slotted below the Arnage and then the Mulsanne. But the latter, which has been gone since 2020, is the only sedan in the brand’s range.
