Bye Murray already in the first round of the tennis tournament in Miami

Despite advancing 23 places in the world rankings, he was eliminated by his Serbian rival in two sets.

Two-time champion Andy Murray was eliminated in the opening round of the men’s hard court tennis tournament in Miami. The 53rd-ranked three-time Grand Slam winner, seeded 76th, bids farewell to Dusan Lajovic on Wednesday. The Serbian has won just the fourth of his 16 matches played on hard surfaces since January.

Gael Monfils, ranked sixth in the ATP rankings, abandoned his match against compatriot Ugo Humbert at 3:3 due to a wrist injury. It was the 36-year-old’s third race since missing seven months due to injuries.
