The Season 1 Reloaded update arrived yesterday for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, and data miners are already using game files to research what they might plan for Call of Duty's next big update. Leakers have found several references to the Warhammer 40k franchise.
The leaks, which include potential Call of Duty loading screens depicting art for Warhammer 40k's ongoing Dark Angels chapter, Space Marines, have been attributed to a scammer known as CODWarfareForum. The operators and event formats revolving around the franchise are also mentioned.
The game files also seem to suggest the Warhammer 40k event bosses Baton Jailer, Swamp Monster (Fenbeast), Ogre Butcher, and Mummy. It's worth noting that these Warhammer bosses look similar to the boss battles featured in Warzone's terrifying Operation Nightmare event last year, which featured a swamp monster, a mummy, and a Diablo butcher. It's possible that something similar will return in MW3 and the new Urzikstan map in Warzone, but with repainted bosses adapted to Warhammer 40k characters.

Call of Duty has had several big IP deals in recent years, with collaborations like The Boys, Attack on Titan, The Evil Dead, Masters of the Universe, and Dune, making such big crossovers seem very possible. However, Activision has not officially confirmed anything yet, so it is uncertain when or if this collaboration will happen at all.
Early in Season 1, data leaks pointed to a potential crossover with Rick Grimes and Michonne from The Walking Dead, but nothing has been announced yet.
Season 1 of Reloaded got off to a rocky start, with bugs and issues delaying content in MW3 and Warzone. Several fixes for the game were released overnight, so the game should be less crashing from now on. Raven Software has announced that Warzone Champion Quest will be available again today at 10am PT / 1pm ET. Unfortunately, a new release date for the delayed ranked multiplayer mode has not been announced.
