Last year, the NASCAR Race for the Championship documentary series came out.
Broadcast by USA Network, the show not only presented the action of the playoffs, which include the last ten races of the season, but also provided insight into the competitors’ personal lives.
According to NASCAR’s recent announcement, fans won’t miss next year’s behind-the-scenes action either, sponsored by Netflix, which already has Formula 1’s Drive to Survive.
The streaming giant is producing a series of five 45-minute episodes, focusing on the 2023 playoffs for the main category.
Filming is already in full swing.
There is only one place available for victories in the field of sixteen playoffs, and their fate will be decided at the regular season finale in Daytona this weekend.
The championship race begins on September 3rd in Darlington, and on November 5th the best of the season will be crowned at Phoenix Raceway.
The show will premiere in early 2024, under the direction of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the producers behind Michael Jordan’s Last Dance.
This isn’t the first time Netflix has teamed up with NASCAR.
Last year they made a 23XI Racing co-owned by Jordan that took aim at Bubba Wallace, later Outright “RACE” Emmy Winner: Bubba Wallace.
