Can Peter Szijjarto's man return home from America before time?

On May 19, a harsh post appeared on the Facebook page of the Hungarians in Los Angeles group, which has 2,500 followers:

“Consul General in Los Angeles, Tamás Seles, who managed to dismantle the Hungarian communities in California, is packing his bags and leaving!”

Not many people understood why Tamás Celís was appointed in 2016 as consul general in Los Angeles, the center of the Hungarian community of about 70,000 people living in and around the West Coast city. Although he made documentaries about American immigrants, he had no diplomatic experience. But according to rumours, as the former managing director of Debrecen TV, he had an excellent personal relationship with Lajos Kosa, so he got the position in the end. Others were surprised that in the video of him making his debut in front of local Hungarians, he also appeared to have trouble with the English language – which has clearly since changed during his years abroad.

The United Hungarian House of Los Angeles has always played a big role in the lives of Hungarians abroad. So, when Tamas Seles was appointed, he was introduced as Consul General here in 2017. But the good relationship ended after a year.

After the Hungarian parliamentary elections in April 2018, Almos Sárváry, who was still Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Sejm at the time, posted a comment criticizing the government to Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, on Facebook.

Therefore, the Consul General called on the Speaker of the United Hungarian House of Representatives, Miklós Beréházy, to dismiss his deputy immediately. With the story of this it is index I also dealt with.

However, the public is no longer aware that the events did not end here. Then, Miklós Bereházi, who had been happily married for 54 years, received an anonymous letter in which he suspected, among other things, of clinging to the government critic vice president because he was attracted to her.

“I know who wrote the letter.” – The Speaker of the House of Representatives told our newspaper when we asked him whether the news of the departure of the Consul General was true.

If you want to know what else has happened in Los Angeles in recent years – other than the attempted character assassination and smear campaign – to the point that it now appears that Consul General Tamás Seles will return home at the end of June, then Click on the article published Thursday morning on Klasszis Media Group's Mfor.hu website.
