Milton, Ontario. – Canadian cyclist Dylan Pepik outlasted his rivals and took gold at the UCI Track Nations Cup on Friday.
The 20-year-old Mississauga, Ont., native was the last competitor on the track in the men's elimination race, finishing ahead of JapanShunsuke Imamura (silver) and Mark Stewart of Great Britain (bronze).
Canadians also made the podium in the men's team sprint, with Ryan Dudek, James Hedgecock and Tyler Rourke taking bronze and qualifying for this summer's Paris Olympics. The Netherlands took first place and Great Britain took the silver medal.
